Hours: 3.0 Lecture hours, 4.0 Laboratory hours
This course is not open to students who have completed CH-251. Recommended for students in Nursing, and others planning to pursue careers in Allied Health curricula, including those in the Medical Laboratory Technology program. May not be substituted for CH-251, but may be used as preparation for CH-251. Topics include the structure, properties, and reactions of organic functional groups, optical isomerism, stero-chemistry, macro-molecules, and bio-molecules, such as fats, proteins, carbohydrates, and nucleic acids.
