This course will develop students' knowledge of communication principles and theories in the modern workplace. Topics will include obstacles to effective communication, team-building, leadership styles, the use of technology in the workplace and the job-seeking process. Students will learn about assertive behavior, conflict resolution, and effective presentation skills in the modern workplace. Strategies in the job-seeking process will also be discussed.
