Basic concepts of cultural anthropology, with illustrative material drawn from ethnographic studies of band, tribal, and peasant societies. Course sections are offered as both in class courses and as asynchronous online courses. Online sections of this course will use the Blackboard course management system. Students must have an email account, access to the Internet, and use word processing software.
