This class is taught with an emphasis on traditional hand-drawn techniques involved in the development of 2D animation. The exercises and projects that the course focuses on will be drawn on paper and using industry standard software. Students will learn the basic principles of animation such as timing, squash and stretch, anticipation, and exaggeration. These topics are taught through lectures, demos, and a series of exercises and assignments.
