BIOL. 1001: General Biology IPREREQUISITE OR COREQUISITE OF MATH 1006 OR CHEMISTRY 1100 OR 1050 OR 1040 or 1200, WITH GRADE C- OR HIGHER, IS REQUIRED TO TAKE THIS COURSE. NOT OPEN TO STUDENTS WHO COMPLETED BIOLOGY *1080, OR BOTH BIOLOGY 1072 AND 1071 WITH GRADE C- OR HIGHER.

Hours: 3.0 Laboratory hours, 3.0 Lecture hours
3 hours lecture, 3 hours laboratory; 4.5 credits Systems, ecological and evolutionary biology. Integration of plant and animal form and function with biological concepts and theories of evolution, genetics, development, homeostasis, ecology-biodiversity, bioenergetics and bio-informatics. (Not open to students who have completed, with a grade of C- or higher, the following course or courses: Biology *1080 [3], or both Biology 1072 [29] and Biology *1071 [34.1]).
